Corju Hunting team had a giant multi-pointer buck pre-scouted. A difficult buck to pre-scout for as he was very nomadic and changed territory often. A buck with a very spooky character.
Three days before the hunt was to start the buck vanished.
Three guides looked for him all day for those three days with no luck.
Guide Fran Cortina and hunter E.J. Varos tried finding him the opening morning of April 1st 2023 with no luck. Checked several locations for hours.
When the sun was up and they were about to give up that morning, E.J. spotted the buck.
A perfect shot at 281 yards with the 270 wsm tikka laid the buck on the dust.
A very special moment with unexplainable feelings.
Months later this buck was measured by an SCI Masters Measure. Officially scores 73 7/8″ making him the NEW SCI WORLD RECORD (Fre range) N.T.
